Thank you from Father Joe

In addition to all those who gave so generously this past Christmas, I would like to offer my appreciation and that of the entire parish to our St. Vincent DePaul Society members who organized and coordinated the giving of gifts, food baskets and additional assistance to those most in need. These, along with many in our parish, embody charity in action. May the Lord reward their kindness and all who provided for those most in need.

Ministers of Care are Needed!

A Minister of Care is an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist having a special designation to take Holy Communion to the sick, elderly, or otherwise homebound persons. Some special training is required over and above that of a regular Extraordinary Minister of Communion. This ministry usually takes place in a person’s home, a nursing home, or a hospital. Ministers of Care may also preside at a communion service which may take place at a nursing home. This is truly a ministry of ”hands on” mercy. If you would like to become involved in this ministry, please contact Deacon Gene LaBelle at the rectory.
