The
Social
Justice
Ministry
works
with
South
Suburban
PADS
(Public
Action
to
Deliver
Shelter),
an
ecumenical
ministry
of
faith
communities
and
concerned
citizens
serving
homeless
men,
women,
and
children.
Twenty-one
weekly
sites
and
various
churches
provide
emergency
night
shelter
and
meals
from
October
to
April.
A
continuum
of
care
is
provided
through
the
Daytime
Center
which
is
open
from
6:30
AM
-
5
PM
Monday
through
Friday
year-round,
and
offers
health
care,
job
training,
basic
skills,
personal
needs
and
referrals,
etc.
Training
is
provided
for
PADS
volunteers,
who
commit
to
one
four-hour
shift
per
month.
Volunteers
are
needed
in
both
the
overnight
and
daytime
programs.
