St. Kieran Outreach Commission

Members of the Outreach Commission endeavor to meet the many physical,

emotional, and spiritual needs of our local community.

 

Ministers of Care - Doris Stabile

Ministers of Care are Eucharist Ministers who bring Holy Communion to sick and homebound members of the parish. They also lead Communion services at area nursing homes, and assist with the celebration of Mass at these facilities. New ministers are trained and mandated by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Ministers meet monthly for prayer and continuing education

 

Ministry of Consolation - Joan Knoll

Ministry of Consolation seeks to assist and comfort those who are grieving the loss of a loved one.

Pro-Life Ministry’s goal is to promote a deeper respect for the dignity and sacredness of human life at all its stages.

 

St. Vincent de Paul Society - Parish Office

St. Vincent de Paul Society responds to the needs of the poor and hungry in a confidential and dignified manner. Meetings are held on the first and third Monday of every month.

 

Social Justice Ministry

The Social Justice Ministry works with South Suburban PADS (Public Action to Deliver Shelter), an ecumenical ministry of faith communities and concerned citizens serving homeless men, women, and children.

 

SPRED - Lynn Hume

SPRED is a ministry that welcomes people of all ages with a variety of developmental disabilities into the faith life of the parish.  SPRED provides a method which helps us to know God and grow in faith.  SPRED members meet once each week, for approximately 24 weeks between October and May, for a 2 1/2 to 3 hour session.

 

Substance Abuse Assistance - Gene LaBelle

Substance Dependency Assistance involves several members of the parish who are trained to help persons and families afflicted with some type of substance abuse. Team members offer confidential assistance toward recovery.
