On July 7, the media announced a list of the new “Seven
Wonders of the World.”
Have you ever wondered about the “Seven Wonders” of
the Catholic Church?
Given to us by Jesus, they are called the Seven
Sacraments of the Catholic Church.
· Can you name all of
them?
· Do you know how they
came to be?
· Do you know their
purpose?
Perhaps you have been baptized as Catholic, but never
had the opportunity to complete your initiation.
Maybe you were baptized in a different faith (or never
were baptized)
and are curious about the Catholic faith.
Maybe you married someone of the Catholic faith or
your children are being raised in the faith and you seek
understanding.
Questions about the faith can be answered during the
process known as OCI (Order of Christian Initiation).
This process welcomes those seeking to know more about
the faith,
either to become a Catholic
or to just better understand our religion.
During the OCI process we discuss what it means
to belong to the Catholic church.
Even though the OCI is the process by which
adults come into the faith,
there is never any pressure or obligation to become a
Catholic.
Teaching sessions start in September, so keep watching
future bulletins
for more information about OCI.
If you would like further information, please leave a
message for
Joe Sopron at the Rectory Office (708/755-0074)
or call Sandy Vasek in the Religious Education Office

We look forward to meeting you and growing together in
faith! |
