We
are reminded each Pentecost season that we, like the early
disciples, have been gifted with the Holy Spirit, and challenged to
open ourselves to the Spirit’s gifts and fruits, in order to serve the
Church.
Scripture
tells us that every person is formed in the image and likeness of God. The
Spirit makes each
of us a member of the Body of Christ, and these spiritual
relationships are the source of our hope for personal and social change.
Pope
John Paul II, in an Apostolic letter, invites us to “broaden our
horizons and to see the world and its people from the perspective of
Christ.”
We
here at St. Kieran are committed to reaching out within our Parish and our
communities to work for communication, respect, and openness among people
of all backgrounds and traditions.
Would
you like to be part of a St. Kieran planning committee which will explore
possibilities and activities for better understanding and celebration of
our cultural and ethnic diversity?
