At
our Sunday, January 13th meeting, the Human Dignity Committee made
the following decisions:
We will continue with our long-range plans for the support of the
needs of Fr. Raphael’s native Ugandan village and his seminary in
Kenya. This effort will be our Lenten project (as was last year’s
Goat Purchase). Look for more information ahead on this subject.
However,
to meet the immediate needs of the victims of Kenya’s present
violent upheaval, we are encouraging donations NOW that can be used
for purchasing food, medicine, and supplies sorely needed in the
community served by Fr. Raphael and his seminarians.
If you wish to take part in this humanitarian effort, please see our
vestibule Bulletin Board display. Envelopes are available for your
donations which can be placed in our regular Sunday collection
baskets.
Whether or not you wish to donate, please remember to pray daily for
peace in our world. |
