Engaged Couples offers
marriage preparation to engaged couples of the parish. Its goals is to challenge
engaged couples to realistically envision their relationship as vital and
growing — a vocation to which both individuals must be committed if it is to
succeed. The Engaged Couples Program tries to communicate our parish’s love
and concern for them and our appreciation of the uniqueness they bring to our
community of faith. It also invites members of our parish to pray for those
engaged couples participating in the program.
The Engaged Couples Program offers a series of four small-group preparation
sessions here at St. Kieran Parish. At these meetings, couples engage in
personal reflection and dialogue, which promotes discovery of each other through
honest and open communication about various topics. Programs are held four times
each year. Engaged couples are asked to register at least 9 months prior to
their wedding date. The parish priest will provide information about this
program when a couple meets with him to set their wedding date.
