. . .  to Michael Vellender for attaining honor roll status for the first semester freshman year at Beecher High School . . . to our seventh grade Confirmation Class for doing so well in completing their service hour requirement; as of this writing, out of 31 students—   11 have 15 or more service hours completed and 2 have completed 25 plus hours . . . to our St. Kieran School Student Council for collecting over $75 for Operation Rice Bowl through their “Valentine Red and White Day” on February 14; our students and staff paid $.50 each for the privilege of wearing red and white on that day (I think some paid a bit more!)

04/13/08 Congratulations and Salutations!  Our St. Kieran School Kindergarten class, under the direction of Mrs. Klec and Mrs. Weishaar, collected over $225 during the Lenten season by baking treats and selling them at lunch time on designated days.  The money will be given to help children with cancer through the St. Baldrick’s Foundation.  We are proud of your ingenuity and generosity!

04/27/08 Congratulations and Salutations!  St. Kieran parish would like to acknowledge the following students from our parish who were recognized as “Students of the Month” at Marian Catholic High School:  Allison McDonnell (foreign language,) Karli Konodi (attendance,) and Breanne Amadio (science.)  Kudos also to Sean Barry, a member of Marian’s Math Team that placed second in their division at the Math Teachers Association contest in February.
